Welcome to Operation Yellow Ribbon, VVA Chapter 712's outreach and support for A Troop, 1^st Squadron, 158^th Cavalry, Maryland National Guard deploying to Bosnia-Herzegovina for peace-keeping duty with Task Force Eagle.

A Troop was deployed for 9 months from 19 August 2001 until approximately May 2002. During this period, our VVA Chapter hosted Web Journals for several Troop members who agreed to share their deployment experiences. The journaling software also enabled the troopers to post photos with their entries. These journals document A Troop's experiences as they served on the front lines of freedom, keeping the peace.
